# Call From Any Country: Where CallTuv Works

> CallTuv works over the internet, so you can call from anywhere in the world to 200+ countries - with one destination exception worth knowing.

**TL;DR:** You can call from anywhere in the world to 200+ countries - your location doesn't affect price or quality, only your internet connection does. The one exception: calls to China aren't supported.

CallTuv works over the internet - so **where you're calling from doesn't matter**. From any country with a steady connection, you can call landlines and mobiles in **200+ countries**, straight from the browser or the app.

## Calling from anywhere

Traveling, living abroad, on hotel Wi-Fi, using a foreign SIM's data - all fine. You can even [call without any SIM card at all](https://calltuv.com/call-without-sim), which makes CallTuv a favorite of [travelers calling home](https://calltuv.com/international-calling-for-travelers). Your account, balance, and [caller ID](/help/5641209-what-recipients-see-shared-numbers-explained) work identically wherever you are, because nothing depends on a local carrier. That's also why there's no roaming: a call to the same destination costs the same from everywhere. ## Checking a destination

## The one exception: calls to China

Calls **to China** are currently not supported due to regulations and carrier limitations. Calling **from** China to other countries works normally.

## What you need wherever you are
