A few countries can’t show it
Calls to Singapore can’t show your own number. In Finland, Czechia, Thailand, India, Malaysia and Hungary, a number from that same country can’t be shown. The dialer tells you before you call.
Prices can differ by caller ID
For some destinations a call from your own number is priced differently. The dialer always shows the exact price before you press call.

How does verification work?

Enter your number and press Call me now. Your phone rings with a call from +1 415 723 4000, and you type the 6-digit code shown on your screen on your phone’s keypad. It takes about a minute, and your number shows on every call after that.

Does verification cost anything?

No. Verifying is free and there is no monthly fee for showing your number. Your account needs a positive balance to start, and answering the verification call is a normal incoming call on your phone.

Can people call me back on that number?

Yes. Your calls show your real number, so anyone who calls it back rings your ordinary phone, the way they always have.

Can I use any number as my caller ID?

No. You can only show a number you own and have verified. That is why the verification call exists: it proves the phone is really yours, so nobody can show someone else’s number.

Are there countries where my own number can’t be shown?

A few. Calls to Singapore can’t show your own number at all. In Finland, Czechia, Thailand, India, Malaysia and Hungary, a number from that same country can’t be shown on a call from abroad. The dialer tells you before you call, and every other destination shows your number normally.

Does using my own number change what a call costs?

It can, for some destinations. The dialer shows the exact price per minute for the caller ID you have selected before you press call, so there are no surprises.

How many numbers can I verify?

One number per account. To use a different one later, remove the current number first.

Do I need a SIM card or a carrier international plan?

No. CallTuv works from your browser or the app over WiFi or mobile data, so you can call internationally without swapping SIM cards or paying your carrier for an international calling package.

Does the person I call need an app or internet?

No. They receive a normal phone call on their mobile or landline. Only you need CallTuv and an internet connection.

I don’t have a number to show. Can I get one from CallTuv?
