Does CallTuv Provide Phone Numbers?
Yes - you can rent a US phone number for $5.95 a month to use as your caller ID. It is for outgoing calls only, and numbers in other countries are not available yet.

There is one important limit to know before you decide: a rented number is for outgoing calls only. Nobody can ring it back and no text message can reach it.
How to get one
The whole thing takes about a minute. We show you five available US numbers, you pick the one you like, and it is charged to the card already on your account.
You rent it on the website: open the Call page at calltuv.com and click the caller ID button. Once rented, it works in the app too. Numbers can't be moved in from, or out to, another provider.

What about a number in another country?
People often ask for a Danish number, a German number, a UK number, and so on. At the moment the only country we can offer is the United States. We are not able to rent you a number anywhere else yet.
It usually helps to separate the two reasons people want one:
- You want the people you call to see a local or familiar number. If you already own a phone in that country, verify it as your caller ID and that number is what everyone sees, wherever in the world you are calling from. It is free and works for any country: Verify Your Own Number as Caller ID.
- You want a number people can ring you on. That is an inbound number, and it is not something CallTuv does in any country, including the US. A separate provider can give you one, and it works perfectly happily next to CallTuv - you use their number for incoming calls and CallTuv for cheap outgoing ones.
What about toll-free or 1-800 numbers?
Not at the moment. The numbers we rent are ordinary US local numbers with a normal area code, the kind a person or a small business would have. Toll-free, 1-800, vanity and memorable numbers are not something we offer.

Do I need a phone number at all?
No. An email address is all you need to create an account and start calling, and there is no SIM card involved. Choosing what people see is entirely optional - without it, your calls simply show a CallTuv Shared Number.

Many customers pair CallTuv for cheap outgoing calls with a separate provider for an inbound number.
