Every CallTuv account lives inside a team - you got one automatically when you signed up, and if you're the only person in it, you may never have noticed. But you can also belong to several teams: perhaps one for personal calls and one for work, each with its own separate balance, history, and members. Whichever team you're "in" at a given moment is the one your calls are billed to.

Creating a new team, step by step

  • In the app: tap the Team tab at the bottom, open the team options, and choose to create a new team. Give it a name and confirm.
  • On the website: click the team switcher in the navigation (it shows your current team's name), and choose the option to create a new team.

You become the owner of any team you create - meaning you handle its top-ups and invite its members. The new team starts with an empty balance of its own.

One limit to know: you can create up to 3 teams. That's plenty for most setups - but if yours genuinely needs more (separate departments, or a team per client, say), email [email protected] and we'll happily raise the limit for your account.

Switching between teams, step by step

  • In the app: tap the Team tab, then Switch Team, and tap the team you want.
  • On the website: click the team switcher in the navigation and pick the team.

After switching, everything you see belongs to the selected team: its balance, its call history, its shared contacts, its stats. New calls draw from its balance. If you ever open the dialer and it asks you to select a team first, this switcher is where to do it.

A gentle heads-up: if you open CallTuv one day and the balance looks mysteriously empty, the most common reason is simply being in the other team - switch back and everything reappears. More on that in Where Did My Balance Go?

Renaming a team

Owners can rename a team on the website under Team Settings - type the new name and save. The name appears in the navigation and on the invitations you send, so choose something your members will recognize (like "Cohen Family" or "Sales Team").

When are multiple teams worth it?

  • Separating personal and business calling - each gets its own balance and its own invoices, which keeps bookkeeping tidy.
  • Different budgets for different groups - say, one team per department or per client.
  • A shared family team alongside your own - relatives call from the family balance while your personal team stays yours.

For how the sharing itself works inside each team, see How Teams and Shared Balance Work.
