Auto Top-Up: Never Run Out of Credit
Switch on auto top-up once, and CallTuv quietly adds credit whenever your balance runs low - so a call never cuts off mid-sentence.
Updated
View as MarkdownAuto top-up is a "set it once and forget it" feature: whenever your balance drops below $5, CallTuv automatically charges your saved card $10 and adds it to your balance. Your credit simply never runs dry - no interrupted calls, no remembering to top up before phoning family on the weekend.
Why you might want it
Two slightly annoying things happen when a balance reaches zero:
- A call in progress ends by itself the moment the next minute can't be paid for - possibly mid-sentence.
- New calls can't start until there's enough credit again (at least the 3-minute minimum).
With auto top-up on, neither ever happens - the balance refills before it empties.
Turning it on, step by step
Auto top-up is managed on the website (not in the app):
- Open your browser, go to calltuv.com/balance, and sign in if needed.
- Make sure you have a saved card. If you've topped up by card before, you already do. If not, do one normal top-up first, or add a card via Manage Payment Methods.
- Find the Auto top-up switch on the Balance page and turn it on. You'll see a confirmation that it's enabled.
From now on it works silently in the background: balance dips under $5, your default card is charged $10, the credit appears, and an invoice arrives by email - just like any top-up.
Turning it off
Same place, same switch - flip it off on the Balance page and it stops immediately. Nothing else changes; your remaining balance stays put and you can still top up manually whenever you wish.
Good to know
- Auto top-up is a team setting, controlled by the team owner like all billing.
- It happily coexists with manual top-ups - add a larger amount by hand any time you like.
- If an automatic charge ever fails (an expired card is the usual culprit), simply update your card under Manage Payment Methods and top up manually once - then you're back on autopilot.
Frequently asked questions
- Which card does auto top-up charge?
- Your default payment method - the card marked as default under Manage Payment Methods on the Balance page. You can change which card that is at any time.
- Can I turn auto top-up off?
- Yes, any time - the same switch on the Balance page turns it off instantly, and no further automatic charges happen.
- Will I get a receipt for automatic top-ups?
- Yes - every automatic top-up is emailed to you as an invoice, exactly like a manual one.
