What is an online calling card?

It is prepaid calling credit you buy online instead of a physical phone card. With CallTuv you top up your account, type the number you want to call and press call. There is no card to scratch, no access number and no PIN.

How is CallTuv different from a prepaid phone card?

You dial the number directly, with no access number or PIN. Calls are billed by the minute with no connection fee, no charge per call and no monthly fee, calls nobody answers are free, and your credit never expires.

How many minutes do I get for $10?

It depends on the country and on whether you call a landline or a mobile. The minutes on this page are worked out from live rates, and the dialer shows the price for the exact number before you call. Answered time is rounded up to the next whole minute on each call.

How do I buy calling credit?

Sign up, then top up from $5 to $500 by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. PayPal is not accepted. Auto top-up can refill your balance when it runs low.

Does my credit expire?

No. Credit stays on your account until you use it, with no monthly fee and no expiry date.

Do I pay for calls nobody answers?

No. Calls that ring out, come back busy or do not go through cost nothing. A call answered by voicemail counts as answered, as it would on any phone.

Charged for a call that didn’t connect?
Can I use it from any country?

Yes. You call over WiFi or mobile data, so it works wherever you have internet, and the rate depends on the number you call, not on where you are. Calls to mainland China are not available.

Do I need an app?

No. You can call from a web browser on a computer or phone, or use the CallTuv app for iPhone and Android with the same account and balance.

Can I call toll-free numbers?

Yes. US and Canadian 1-800 numbers and UK freephone numbers can be called from anywhere, at the normal per-minute rate for that country. They are not free.
